Criterion Blue Town

Come and enjoy one of the special films Criterion has to offer, or visit the Criterion Music Hall which is one of only a few authentic Music Halls in the country still holding regular Music Hall shows.

For this year's Kent Big Weekend the Criterion is offering a special viewing of films for the 'For The Fallen' project - a WW1 film show of award-winning short films for the Golden Poppy awards. Also included in your visit is a guided tour around the Blue Town Heritage centre with a local historian where you will find out about the famous people who are linked with Blue Town, how the population went from 7000 to 100, how Blue Town got its name and see the new displays Sheppey at war. This tour last for 1 hour. Children can dress up in costumes from the era.

Sheppey's maritime heritage which is laid out to represent a deck on HMS Victory will be on display, and you will have the opportunity to handle some of the artefacts and learn how they were used by the Dockyard workers and sailors. You can meet our Patron Paul Harris who will be on hand to talk about the Music Hall.
