Historic sites

Join us at Ightham Mote, a moated manor house dated 1320, reflecting seven centuries of history, from the medieval crypt and victorian great hall to a 1950s Library.

Owned by knights, courtiers to Henry VIII and society Victorians. With beautiful gardens formal and informal, so come and relax in the tranquil surroundings. You could also join in on one of our free introductory talks that is well worth a listen; giving you a brief history of the house. For children there is a natural play area, garden explorer maps and quizzes for the house. Last but not least enjoy a browse around the shop and don’t forget to pop in for something in our café.
