Take inspiration from Riverhill Himalayan Gardens
Although Riverhill was established by a great Victorian horticulturalist, it’s also a living family home. As you explore our unique garden, you’ll enjoy the intriguing mix of traditional planting, historic plants & trees, contemporary design and hearty outdoor adventure.
Riverhill is where you can find the tranquillity & formal aesthetic of a walled garden brought to life with sumptuous grass sculpted curves and frothy fountains. We’re also the setting for a new breed of sculpture gallery, where world class British sculpture takes advantage of scale and natural context to be shown off to its best advantage. And Riverhill is where you can step off the modern merry-go-round and take time to be uplifted by some of the finest views in Kent.
Riverhill is a wonderful place for outdoor adventure. Between the adventure playground, woodland den building and our budding hedge maze, Riverhill gives children the opportunity to let off steam, reconnect with nature and expand their young minds.
After a hearty burst of fresh air and exercise you’ll be pleased to savour lunch or afternoon tea at our cafe. Think home-made, tasty, uncomplicated and local, and you won’t be disappointed. In fact we’ve been told that our scones and cakes are the best for miles around. The newly landscaped cafe terrace gives beautiful views across the gardens, and is also where you’ll find our gift shop and plants for sale.
